A movement of commoners, preparing for the moment that will decide America’s future — before the Elites decide it for us.

What We All Want

Before we argue about anything, notice what we all want.

A safe place to live. A neighborhood where our kids can be outside.

Meaningful work with opportunity. We enjoy what we do, are paid a good wage, and have options for growth.

Healthy environment, healthy food, and quality care. Clean air and water, food we can trust, and health care we can afford.

True equal rights for all. The law applies the same to everyone — no matter who you know or what you’re worth.

Religious freedom. Worship as you believe, or not at all. No faith gets to plan violence or override our Constitution.

The freedom to live as you choose. As long as you’re not taking that freedom from someone else.

A country worth handing to our kids. Better than we found it.

“Seven things. Not one of them owned by a political party.”

These are American ideals that unite us for the common good. And the majority of us agree on them. So why don’t we have them?

Not one of these is controversial. Not one is new. We have sent people to Washington for decades to deliver exactly this. Look at your own life. How many of these could be better?

We Are Not as Divided as We Have Been Told

It feels like “everyone else” is extreme. The facts say otherwise.

Americans guess that 55% of the other side holds extreme views. The real number is closer to 30%.

Just 9% of social media users often post about politics, and the most active political posters are twice as likely to call themselves very liberal or very conservative. Do not mistake the loudest or most outlandish for the majority.

A June 2026 University of Maryland study found 112 policies with majority support from both parties. On 88 of them, more than two-thirds of Republicans and Democrats agreed.

Government should serve us.

The people. Not the politicians, bureaucrats, and the wealthy — our ruling class.

65% of Americans say most people who seek office do so to serve their own personal interests, with nearly identical shares in both parties. (Pew Research Center, 2022) 86% want members of Congress banned from trading individual stocks — 87% of Republicans, 88% of Democrats, 81% of independents. We can change this.

The same rules should apply to everyone.

No one should be able to buy better treatment, lower taxes, or access the rest of us cannot get.

85% of Americans say the cost of political campaigns makes it hard for good people to run for office. (Pew, 2023)

Majorities in both parties say the government is run by a few big interests looking out for themselves.

We can change this.

The ruling class will not solve our problems.

They have had decades. Things just get worse.

77% of Americans say the political system needs major changes or complete reform. Only 27% believe such changes can actually happen. (Pew, 2025)

Half of us want change and expect none. That is the real division in America — not left against right, but hope against giving up.

Who Is in the Way?

Most politicians are more committed to self-interest than public service. Most billionaires care more about profit than the common good. And the loudest zealots manipulate people, the media, and truth to gain more power.

They do not want commoners coming up with solutions that get in the way of their agendas. A divided country offers them more profits and power than a united one.

What Can We Do About It?

The Constitution gave common citizens ultimate power — and it still does.

Study history and the pattern is the same everywhere. Every nation that surrenders power to a ruling class watches that class take more power and more assets from the people. Then the nation fails.

This is not bad news. It is the whole point. We can take back our power. But not from the sidelines. Simple Liberty identifies the key issues facing America and develops solutions based on facts and one standard: what’s best for the common good?

Talk with people who disagree with you. Knowledge from Simple Liberty research enables you to stay calm even when others get emotional — you know the facts — both sides of their claim — and can use our four questions to kindly walk through it with them.

Tell your representatives exactly what you want. Not a complaint — solutions, specific changes, backed by evidence, that they can act on.
